Question Vista UAC, Annoying security warning

Hi I am new to vista, i go really annoyed with my computer asking if i was sure i wanted to do everything i just told it to do and having to click stupid boxes on start up. So i decided good bye UAC. Now I get the shield warning. I know i can turn the security warning off, but i like it for if something happens to my anti-virus, etc... is there a way to just turn off the warning for the UAC? Ty for any help.

You might want to install windows 7.
It's probably the OS you'll be upgrading to when it comes out, and it's put together a whole lot better than Vista. UAC also does what it's supposed to do much better, so you can actually leave it on and it won't bug the crap out of you
Worth doing just to get a feel for win7 anyway imo.

I read you post and it is very informative, but i noticed a major problem... Your directions only work in vista pro or windows 7, Unfortunately I would love to upgrade, but that is not an option at this point. I have found other things online saying i can make the same changes through regedit, but i don't know what to change and i don't truest just anyone's advice on changing regedit. More help would be very appriciated.

In XP you could open up the warning box, then there would be a link in the left hand side to say which alerts would show. I think vista has something very similar from memory (don't have it installed to check atm)

There are options for Deactivation UAC in other versions of Vista. It is in the Vista Discussion. I will find it and edit that post. I know i have put it up.

There it is now in that topic. It is before the Additional Information and below the Command Prompt method as it requires the command prompt.
