| TorrentWhore | Hello, i just reinstalled my Windows Vista Basic Edition and was wondering why my headphones are not working.. when i take the Green Jack for my headphones out i can hear the sound from my Laptop Speakers fine but then i plug the Green jack in for my headphones i cant hear a thing the sound is at full Volume.. and Vista came preinstalled on this Laptop |

| my audio driver has an interface...I have to tell it what is connected to what jack if headphones work...could just be the jack (on the mobo/tower) that's dead

| It is a laptop. But that is a good point. You might have to go into the Control Panel and tell vista that it is a headphone attached not a mic. Vista could be thinking it is a mic. |
