Question Vista Home/Windows Mail Links No Longer Work

My system is running Vista Home with all the latest updates.

When using Window Mail (Outlook Express), the links NO longer work. I've Uploaded an attachment of the Error Message that pops up.

The links seem to get broken AFTER I run the Program Advanced WindowsCare V2.

I've found all kind of solutions for XP users, but none for Vista users.

What do I need to do to get the links working again ??

TIA

Windows mail IS NOT outlook express. There some differences between the two programs. For one HTML mail is not supported by Windows Mail.

Check to make sure when opening the email that you're checking the message that says (download links in message) or something to that effect. Also make sure the senders are not just sending plain text messages, and they are in fact sending HTML code.

The emails are configured to HTML. Always have been.

The broken link issue popped up after I ran the Advanced WindowsCare Utility.

Something in that program changed/deleted the link function within Windows Mail.

How do I get the links working again ?

Go into WindowsCare and see if you can turn off email filtering/protection.

It would be easier to delete the shortcuts and recreate your own. Do the same thing for Internet Explorer if you have the same problem with it.
