Default Vista Express Upgrade Question

Hi,

For Christmas my sister got a new computer for her room and with it, a coupon for free upgrade to Vista Home Premium. Now my sister isn't very computer savvy and has said she would prefer to just keep using XP for the time being.

So what I was wondering was, could I use the upgrade disk we get to install Vista on my machine?

The reason I ask is because when ordering the disk you have to enter information about the 'qualifying pc' you are ordering the upgrade for, and on the order confirmation email it says that the upgrade must only be installed on that 'qualifying pc'. So is it just a standard upgrade disk they send out or is it somehow 'personalized' to the pc it was ordered for.

Thanks for any advice.

Default

If it has the serial then you could probably install it on your computer. Why dont you just try it and see.
