| True Techie | I installed vista and let it install the new updates. Then, when I restarted to install them. Vista displayed the loading screen, but after that the screen goes blank and nothing is being sent to the monitor, but the start-up sound of windows vista is played through the speakers. Does anyone know what the problem is? |

| That wouldn't be from video drivers there. It's most likely a bad install of one of the updates you saw downloaded unless you are seeing the no signal detected message on the display. Vista does have an automatic repair tool on the installation disk you can use for startup problems. When booting with that look for the option button at the bottom of the screen when you see the install now option at the top half. This goes into another screen with that and pthers. |
