Default vista anti virus program (what is this)

My son downloaded something yesterday and since then I keep having my browser going to other websites automatic. I have this program that has popped up on the bottom of the screen that says "Vista anti-virus program.
Update your security now. What is this? I try to delete it and it tells me to go to my add or remove site. When I go to this, this "vista anti-virus program is no where to find on my add or remove list. Where do I find this? I am sure it is causing all of my headaches this morning. Thanks. All the things my son downloaded, I have deleted off the computer.

Sounds like a virus or spyware.

Go to here and follow the guide then post the logs in the analye section of the spyware area. The security team will help you with cleaning the system.

Went through the steps and downloaded the programs that were listed. Still, vista anti-virus 2008 is still embedded in my computer. Where can I go to delete this program? It is still telling me to go to add or remove program site to delete it, and it is not listed anywhere. Help!!!!
