Vista 64-bit crashing when File->open used?

This happens only when I try to save/open into Documents by default. The folder exists and I can access it, and if I load Illustrator or any other program and try to save into another folder its fine, just if it defaults into documents it crashes. Any ideas?

System Specs? Sounds like you need Office SP1 and to check for viruses/spyware.

Also, this is happening with everything now. Saving/opening.

Sounds like the system is corrupt. Have you done any spyware checks or installed SP1?

Don't have SP1, ran Avast!

Well the last thing i can think of is if you have a Restore point try to go back. See if that helps. Other than that i realy dont know. This is a issue i have not encountered yet and can not seem to find a fix for it. Sorry.
