Default Viewing corrupted JPEG files..

hi guys

i just did a recovery on a drive, and i recovered some jpeg files which are very important to me.. however these files have become corrupted (part of it has been overwritten or something)...

is there a way i can still view this?even what's left of it?

i tried jpeg recovery software like JPEG REcovery 2, PIRECOVERY, etc. they dont seem to work..

please advise..

hmmmm that may be tough...JPEG is a type of compression and I would think if you broke part of that compression it would not know what it is as an entire entity. I am more of a network/OS guy so may be way off here
