Default A very weird problem

I have never experience or heard of this kind of problem before so I have no idea on how to fix it. I just bought a palm and installed the driver on the computer and my computer suddenly get this problem. It would take around 10 min to boot to window. After pressing the power button and going to the window xp screen it will show a black blank screen for about 5 min until it go into the welcome screen and stop for another 5 min. After it boot up, it take at least a min to start a program such as firefox. But after it started it will work fine. I have tried uninstalling the palm driver but didnt seem to help. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I just re-install window xp but the problem is still there. Before this happened it take about 20 sec to boot and less than 3 sec to start firefox.

try a repair install of windows if you have the disc handy. Windows can do some pretty weird things, but a repair install is a magical thing!

"Naming them would either make it clear that Linux is not infringing at all (which is quite possible, especially if the patents are bad), or would make it possible to avoid infringing by coding around whatever silly thing they claim,"

"So the whole 'We have a list and we're not telling you' should tell you something. Don't you think that if Microsoft actually had some really foolproof patent, they'd just tell us and go, 'nyaah, nyaah, nyaah!'?"
