Question USE DVD RW as Backup

Hi

I want to use my DVD RW as back up. Earlier I used to use a software called adaptec direct cd which converted my specially formatted CD-RWs in to an added drive.

I could read/write on to these CD's as if it were another HDD on my system.

I just bought a new system with DVD-RW and want to do the same with it.. could you suggest any software out there which could do the same with a DVD -RW.
Added bonus would be the software performing backup tasks like the iomega zip drive software.. where in I could schedule backups..of selected files...

thanks

I think the new versions of Roxio Easy CD Creator will do this.
