I recently tryed to install .net 1.1 framework on my computer running Vista. found some commands that would disable Data Execution Prevention (DEP) so it sould install after i ran the command bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff it said it was successful and i rebooted.

This is where i found the commands:
(Aaron Stebner's WebLog : Error installing .NET Framework 1.0 and 1.1 on Windows Vista caused by Data Execution Prevention (DEP))

I tryed startup repair, system restore and enabling the DEP again and still get the blue screen, even in safe mode. Nothing works

When the vista loading bar starts i get a a blue screen error
*** STOP: 0x0000007 (0x80699BB0, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

can some one please tell me what this error means?

Thanks

Darren

Your missing part of it. The Stop Error codes look like this:

Stop: 0X000000ZZ where ZZ is a alpha numeric combination. You only have part of it cause it end a character to short. There is no stop error code for that. There is a 0x07a, 0x07b, 0x07f and stuff like that. But none like you posted.

The only one i see that comes close is this:

Bug Check 0x70: SESSION4_INITIALIZATION_FAILED

But that would mean a catastrophic failure of Windows. Only a Restore point would help you fix this. If not then it would be a format and reinstall as Vista doesnt have a repair feature.

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0x80699BB0, 0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

thats better ta.
