Default Uninstall Quick Time 7.1.3

Hello,

Downloaded this program free from apple.com.

1. When I try to remove with "Add/Remove Programs", gives me the msg "Quick Time Pro Installed. If you proceed with this uninstall, your Quick Time Pro key registered to User_of_SC with registration code XXXXXXXX will be removed from this computer. Continue with uninstall?" I hit yes.

2. Goes through the uninstall process, then gives me an error box: "Fatal Error during installation" and the program is not installed.

3. FYI, on the add/remove programs, the icon looks like a box with a Q inside of it, not the normal Q icon.

How do I force uninstall this program? And other programs?

I know how to force delete files, but this is a program.

Thanks!

first try uninstalling the program in safe mode. Does quicktime work? if not then it was probably a bad installation in the first place.

Thanks, but didnt work. When I tried to uninstall in Safe mode, got the error msg "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode, or if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your support personnel for assistance."

I know I have the Windows Installer service.
