i put in the windows xp service pack 2 and hit key to boot from disk then it starts and befor i get to look at my drives and stuff i get all kinds of errors different everytime i try. says file cannot be load error code 7 and random stuff like that and i cant continue. what do i do? i cant get windows installed and if i dont get that it will say windows has failed to load blue screen everytime. what is there to do?

run memtest86 and check your ram

i cant because i dont have windows on my pc. i dont think it is hardware related other than hdd or the disk itself but idk

Sounds like a ram failure... remove a stick and try running XP install, iffin that fails try it w/ da udder stik.

well i tried both sticks and i get farther than usual but now i have gotten throught the first blue screen then its about to show me my drives and then to set up windows but when it says windows is satrting up i get a blue screen saying.
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut downto prevent damage to your computer.
then blah blah blah

and i ahve tried all the xp discs i own which is quite a few and still the same thing

download that boot disk, fdisk and then format your drive and then install xp

lol slight problem with that. i dont have a floppy drive. lol. can u use a usb pen drive?
