Default Trouble (ME)

Well, my aunt recently asked me to help her out with her computer.

It seems she changed the resolution very high not knowing what she was doing and it caused the screen to go black.

Now, she can't seem to get it to work. It loads up but whenever it is about to go to her desktop it goes black again.

She wanted me to see if I could fix it, because she assumes all teenagers are computer geniuses, and I figured I would ask here first before I tried tomorrow to fix it.

I guess if I can find out how to change the resolution in the bios or something, just need to know how to get there/change it.

Oh, and her comp, which is pretty old, uses Windows ME.

Go into safe mode, change the resolution, and then reboot using those changes.

Otherwise Reformat

I'm all for reformatting, but that's just too much.

Especially when it's not your computer

Even if you do get the resolution fixed; there's still the hundreds of viruses lurking on this 10-year old machine.
