Default Trojan In Burned Cd

Just before I reformatted a little while ago, I had burned some programs to cd and when I inserted the cd to run some programs, I did a virus check on the cd first just to be safe and sure enough, AVG said a trojan. I never got the chance to see what the trojan was ( if it matters ) because I extracted the cd as fast as I could and did a complete virus scan on cputer.

What I'm asking is, can a trojan enter a system without that certain program that has the virus jn it without being executed? If the trojan is in just one of the programs and not in the others, can I use the other programs? And, is it possible to rid that virus from a burned cd? Am I making sense? I've got myself confused I think

Thanks in advance for you thoughts on this

it really helps to know what the virus is... however, most virus's require some sort of user action. then there are worms which don't. so you should be safe. you shouldn't have any problems using the other programs.

I think that if you have an antivirus that identified a virus/spyware, it can solve the problem by deleting afterwards the virus/spyware from system32. Furthermore if you believe that it would damage your pc, check for viruses and select in the antivirus program the option of viewing the source of the trojan, so you will be able to recognise what program it is. If the program is illegal probably the trojan will be in a type of crack/keygen. Sometimes there might be also other viruses in one program.

It could be that some of tyhe programs you put ont he CD are being detected as malicious. I have some programs that I had saved for various reasons that my antivirus refuses to let me open ior run even though I put them there. Of course, one IS a sweet http cracker...
