Default Is there a history of text copied to a clipboard, or can I restore a word document?

Windows XP 64bit (no clipbrd.exe apparently)
Microsoft Office 2007

Okay, here's my problem. I had a large amount of text written in word and copied it to the clipboard. I had cut it instead of copied it from the word document when I went to post it online, and out of habit saved the word doc before closing. So, I go to post it online and copy another piece of text before the post can go through. IE then decides to freeze up.

So, what I'm asking is, does XP or Office store previously clipped text anywhere? Or does Word have a function that will allow me to restore it to a previous save?

I really need some help here.

There is a bunch of temp files in there. Opening them reveals nothing.

I thought Word was supposed to have all these enhanced protection and backup features. Shouldn't there be a way to revert to a previous save?

That is Shadow Copies and that is only in Vista Business, Ultimate and Enterprise. Office 2007 only has a regular save feature that it goes through which Eric already gave you the location for those saved files.

So unless you still have it stored on your clipboard to paste it right now (You can paste more than once) it will be lost.
