Question System Hang After Boot

Good morning! Please help me in resolving my problem for my reassembled Pentium III 400 MHz computer unit. Everytime I start the computer, the system will run through but will get hang during Windows initialization. I installed an 80 GB Samsung Hard Disk with Windows XP system in it (that came from my other computer unit Pentium 4). Thanks a lot

So you have a new motherboard with an install of xp from another motherboard?

Try to run a repair install if this is the case.

If their was an installation of xp on the HD already it won't work properly. You have to un-install the hard drive controller drivers for it to boot. Should be able to do it from safe mode.

It's an old MS7308D/E socket 370 Sis 630 133MHz Mainboard (Intel Pentium III Processor) which I still reassembled & will try to use it (if system will be successfully operational) for networking with my other Pentium 4 computer. The XP software in the hard disk was operational (as it was used from my Pentium 4 computer) when I transferred / reinstalled it to Pentium III computer. For your perusal & information. Thanks a lot.

I tried to uninstall the hard disk controller but still when I tried to select the Safe Mode - it just enumerated the various system 32 drivers on screen & then it hangs. for your information. thanks a lot.
