Svchost.exe is going beserk! Why?

an old P4 computer in my hallway is having svchost.exe problems about preferenced memory this and that. Anything we try to open the error comes up that is too long to understand. First word is Recycle, the rest is jibberish. Well i noticed this when i tried opening up the hard drives. Anyhow, when i click ok, cancel, or close, the same or similar messege keeps on coming back relying the svchost.exe something memory preference.

so, is it having RAM issues? Hard drive issues? How can i fix this? I will try getting a pic or screenshot tomorrow and post it here.

i will try going into system information too. Might be viruses that is causing this to happen.

Get Process Explorer to get a in depth look at what program is using that SVCHost.

you probably have a worm or a trojan that has infected svchost. i've seen it many times. also i'm going to move this to the windows section where it's probably going to get more appropriate responses.

i have AVG on that computer. I will try opening it up and run it. I will give the results later.
