this works on laptops. but the solution to that is to add a usb cd rom that was never on the boot process to get disabled

bart pe and the password renew plugin is the best and easiest way to get into a password protected computer. it doesn't bother to even try to guess it. it just let you change it to whatever you want. it can also create a new administrator account. then you can log in and delete the old account

hdd passwords are the best protection. it can be hacked but it isn't worth the trouble that you go through to hack it

You guys would be suprised at how well using a space in a password can screw up hashing. LC5 that we use here at work seems to break about 99% of the time when it runs into a space.

Not all systems will allow for a space.
