Yesterday i fired up my Vista system and on my DT i see "Test Mode" in all 4 corners of the screen along with "Microsoft (R) Windows (R) Service pack 1" in the middle. What is this, How did it get there and how can i get rid of it????

I tried a few things...but its bizarre and confusing

Well my first thing i would say would be that it booted to Safe Mode. If that isnt the case then it would be WGA that kicked against Anti-Piracy.

Agree w/ Mak, the symptoms will only get worse and services will begin not working.

Do you have a legit copy of Vista with a legit CD code and have you activated it?

Yes i have oem version. Its registered, How do i fix it ?

Did you try going into your system properties and seeing if it is a genuije copy? If not did you try to reactivate it? What have you tried?
