| I'm sure this is a simple question but I can't figure out the answer. I'm running XP yet my start button and the taskbar aren't blue, the standard XP color, they're now looking like they did in Win 98. How do I fix this? Also I can't access the task manager either by control alt del or by right clicking the task bar and selecting task manager there. I've searched on this and found a number of different methods to supposedly fix this but haven't been successful so far. Here's what I've tried so far: Quote:

| for 'windows and buttons' windows classic is selected, its the only option. is that what im looking for / the problem, or somewhere else?

| nope, its not. oh btw i forgot to mention another (unrelated) problem - however i did mention it in the subject! i cant access the command screen either, when i hit cmd into run the screen shows up but its completely blank and i cant actually access it. any help again would be appreciated. HJT log coming up.

Mainly you have almost every toolbar out there installed. Which really isnt helpful. You have a few no ifles in there as well. |

| thanks man. i deleted most of the stuff, but left the google toolbar since i actually use that one. is that OK, or should that be erased as well?
