Default STacSV Module

I recently went a bit gung-ho with System Mechanic and fear I've caused problems with my registry.

I'm getting the error' STacSV Module' has encountered a problem and needs to close....' after start-up (which incidentally is now extremely slow!)

I've run two registry cleaners and searched for spyware and found nothing helps.

I know the process is something to do with Sigmatel Audio but not sure how important it is!

I run XP on a Dell Dimension 9150 and I can supply further details of the error if required. Furthermore, can anyone help me to speed up my start-up safely? I only have five things starting: Kaspersky AV, ZA Pro firewall, CTF Loader, Logitech Setpoint-treiber and Speedtouch Statistics but my system takes over 3 minutes to fully boot..

Can anyone help?

Thanks
