no. because you are using it for storage. if you were using it for an os drive you would, but like I said earlier, you can still bypass this step if the drive is already partitioned. you would just have to pick the 'leave the file system intact' option.

Alright, thanks EricB, that's what I assumed it would do, but I don't have much experience with SATA. And I would normally experiment, but I got too much crap on there to take a chance.
