Whatever happened to the 'show desktop' button in the taskbar? I seem to remember such a button on some PCs, but as far as I can tell the only thing XP lets me do is to right click on the taskbar itself and choose 'Show the Desktop'. Seems like the button was easier. Is there a way to have this a constant option in the notification area?

right click on taskbar, properties, then click show quick launch

Edit: now how to I add/remove items from this Quick Launch area?

I think that you can drag and drop.

Not on my XP machine right now, but I am pretty sure. If Vista kept it the same, then yes you can drag and drop.
