i've been searching for a while and google comes up empty every time. im looking for some software that can deploy files and software remotely to multiple pc's. i need something simple that doesnt involve group policy or setting up a server (dont wanna step on the toes of our infrastructure guys). basically i just want to say, take this file and put it in this directory of these computers. i dont really even need it to execute anything remotely but it would be nice.

Circumventing your IT Staff is always an unwelcome surprise, so why don't you ask them what they think? The simplest route looks like setting up shared folders, then creating batch files/scripts.
