| I can't run DOS games in windows xp. I've been around XP long enough to know that it doesn't always do a good job of running dos games so it's better to run a dual boot with windows 98 so we don't have to get into that. I've figured out that it all has to do with sound. If I select no sound card the games runs like normal. If I select my sound card the games slow down when a sound is made. I have a Sound Blaster Live!. It's on IRQ 19, but as some may recall older DOS setups ask for Port, IRQ, and DMA. Older setups don't have an option of selecting that high an IRQ, and I don't know where to start for port and DMA. Reason I'm bringing up Port, IRQ, and DMA is cause I figure that's the only thing that could be causing the issue. Please assist me. |

| Dope Tech | right click the exe, click properties. click the compatablity tab and turn on a compatablity mode. the tab might show in a shortcuts property menu as well.

| I tried this. It did nothing. I found jDoom and the Doomsday engine, but it sure would be nice if they would run in original form
