Default requirements for a webforum

Hello

I was thinking about starting a forum about mobile phones. i was wondering if you guys could tell me what are the requirements for a web forum?

i mean
web space
do i need to cater to a certain number of connections
(what are the requirements for supporting multiple users browsing the forum)

etc ...

most forums save thier info to a database usually mysql.

to make sure you can serve to multiple users, just make sure you have a fast enough WAN connection to serve the access.

thanks for the reply

would not the server hosting the forum provide the connection, and they would set the limits on how many users can access the forum?

they prolly wont set a limit....unless you were DDOS'd in which case they'd prolly cut you off completely. If too many users were connected, your forum would experience slow load times.
