Currently my other comp just reboots itself non-stop without reaching the desktop. I tried pressing f10, and nothing works so i didnt have a recovery point. I know i need the disc now, but is there any way i can get the recovery from my current comp? Like save it to disc and bring it over?

Also, i heard recovery > reformat cos it brings u to the state where u first bought you comp, my other comp being a HP built comp.

I dont understand the question exactly..You have two computers, one is working, one doesnt boot and you wish to copy your good computers disk to your bad computers disk?

However, i was asked to purchase a recovery disc so i can solve my "non working comp's" issue. It'll take 2 weeks before it arrives cos it ran out of stock. So i was wondering if i could get it elsewhere? More conveniently from my working comp? Is that even possible?

Did you try F8 instead of F10 to see if it lets you into safe mode and then troubleshoot from there?

it did let me into safe mode, but its the same, still reboots itself.

that recovery will only work on the hp.
