Alright since this question is constantly asked i am making this a thread and i will add it to the index. I want input from you guys as well as to what to add.

DivX Player: For the Playback of different format files

Media Player Classic: For Playback of different format files

Deepburner: For Ripping and other such applications used for backup of media

How about:

Magic Video Converter, it's the best I have personally used for converting almost any type of video file to any other type of video file. MP4 to divx? Sure! FLV to DVD spec MPEG? Yup! You gotta MKV file? It'll do it.

Foobar is an excellent, free, low-resources audio player.

Yes but almost everything we have listed is for Video. There is no audio stuff in there.

Well now we have an audio program, who uses a video player to play audio nowadays? I haven't found one that does everything well enough to use.
