Default Is it really bad to have more than one anti-virus

i always see a warning when i install another anti virus that says uninstall any other anti virus programs to prevent serious problems however i have 4 different anti viruses(nod32, ewidow, macafee, and zone alarm security suite) and i dont notice anything wrong i was wondering why they say that.

It's not recommended because the anti virus programs will likelly "fight eachother" and cuase errors.
