Default Question on 3dMark softwares

Ok I dont know if I posted on the right thread. Anyways, my question is..In getting a 3dMark software, do I need to purchase it? I want to run tests on my pc but when I go to the site, there is two options only. Download the free version but has missing parts or purchase it. And do people here who run those benchmarks really did purchased it?

Exactly, even the 3dmark scores you see on tomshardware and in magazines are from the demo version. 99% of ppl just don't need anything beyond that.
