| I am on a computer a work, and do not have administrative access, so I'm not sure if I can do this. But if I recall correctly, youtube files are downloaded to c:\program files\windows\ie\temp internet files\ for WinXP, correct? I cannot unhide directories and files w/ my access, nor can I get into msconfig to change it there. Basically what I"m trying to do is take a youtube file downloaded to the harddrive, burn it to cd, and find a viewer to view it on my home computer (which does not have internet access). Thanks... |

| Retired. | Try this: Free FLV Downloader - How to Download FLV Using Orbit Downloader Youtube files are FLV files or flash video files. Once you have it, you can use a FLV converter or you can use VLC player (free). |

| Lurker Techie | VideoDL.org - Download Online Video (Google Video, YouTube etc) in a Flash! I've used that to d/l quite a few videos off of Youtube. You just have to make sure to manually place a .flv after the file name when saving and/or renaming.
