I was thinking of making lets say Vmware start up as I powered on the computer. After that I would want certain guest VM's to start up as well. Would some thing like that be possible?

You could start up VMWare just by adding the executable to the Startup Folder on the start menu. But as for machines you would have to set that up via VMWare. It would be best to wait till you machine fully loads before you fire up VMWare and a Virtual Machine.

If you think it takes long now to boot up try having it have to boot 2 machines.
