I was recently updating my Windows Vista Ultimate with Windows 7 Ultimate, and before it finished a black screen appeared and a cursor. I don't know what to do or what even happened. Can anyone help?
How long did you leave it with that? Have you tried restarting? How did you go about the update process and with what build of Win7? The final version isnt released till Oct 22, 2009 so my guess would be that you had to use the RC Build 7100 as that was the last build that you could use to upgrade.
All the versions on MSDN/TechNET are full versions which dont allow for upgrades.
