I installed a fresh copy of Windows XP Media Center Edition on the old' laptop with SP2. I then downloaded and installed SP3. I then downloaded and installed I.E. 7 and for some reason when I try to open it it appears that for a split second that it is going to open however, it does not.

Anyone know whats going on here?

Sorry i would answer but it would be taken as disrespectful since i have a idea. Since there are people out there smarter than me i will let them answer.

But i can suggest you check yoru Task Manager. IE might be there. If it is i would say that the issue lies with installing SP3 before IE7. As many Google results will say. SP3 doesnt play well with IE7 installed after it.

But what do i know. I am not smrt.

IE 7 uninstalled, SP3 uninstalled, IE reinstalled problem still occurs.
