| Re: prevent .exe files from downloading? No problem. There isnt a real way to block something from downloading when it is on the fly by. Other than updating your OS to Vista and have the UAC on. Along with having IE7 on with the security measures. But as you stated not even that works.

| Re: prevent .exe files from downloading? i didnt upgrade to ie 7 yet last tiem i checked was few months ago and it had some bugs.
and eric B stop beeing ******** if u dont have the answer dont post useless replies like that
that just shows to me that u have personal issues...
if i ask soemthing i want the answer that can solve my problem.
ur answer is same as "if u dont want to **** then dont eat food"
i go to myspace and i go to other pages (not talkin about porn) and sometimes i stumble on a virus or trojan or whatever but they are all taken care of later i got pretty good at cleanign my system up
what i was askin is :HOW TO PREVENT FILES FROM DOWNLOADING ON MY PC WHEN I OPEN A PAGE WITH VIRUS OR SPYWARE.
a directory monitor, any program that i can set up to monitor for new created files, or prevent files from running in specific folder.

| Re: prevent .exe files from downloading? ok first of all raverx3m watch that flaming.... and that language... you may get two infractions for this....
anyways... the only way to really stop it from infiltrating is your Firewall with realtime Scanner, UAC (user account control on Vista [while annoying] has the best protection]) another is to stop the site from working: Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts File
its got stuff blocked... also another way i know off... is Javacool Spyware Blaster... |

Firefox with NoScript will solve your problem.
It's time to either let go of IE, or stop whining about it and just accept the fact that it will be a security problem.
