Default Portable apps.

I just DLed portable apps and firfox. I loaded them to my jump drive and started using it, but firefox seems to run slow. What might be causing this? I am used to firefox being so speedu, but it seems like it doesn't load very fast and when it does start loading i can't click anything else in mozilla. Kin do flike it is processing. Is this a portable apps problem or just running it from a jump drive causes it to be slow ?

You are strictly running it from the Flash Drive. It will not run as if it was installed on a PC. The PC has to access the Flash Drive which then executes the action. You cant expect a portable app to run as fast as a installed app. It jsut aint gonna happen.

ok,
I figured it was that. I just knew it was firefox 3 and last time I tried firefox 3 it seemed cooky.
but I bet it is just the flash drive to computer slowness.

disable cache

or you could try a Chromium nightly build, which runs fast.
