Not really. If a torrent only has 1 seeder. It does not matter how many ports you have forwarded. It will only download as fast as they can upload. The seeder count affects the download more than having your ports forwarded. Cheers, Mak

| Re: Port Forwarding before I knew how to port forward, I would at max get 40-50 kbps downloads. it used to take me weeks to get movies. once I learned to forward my ports properly I started getting 600-700 kbps speed (movies in a few hours, sometimes in 20 minutes if there are enough seeders). so yes it does speed up your downloads that's why everybody does it. of course it doesn't speed thing up if you are using one seeder, but it really does if you have a hundred or a thousand what your router model number and your torrent client?

Port forwarding helps but having a high number of seeders will be even better. PS. Check the Browser area. There is a topic about all of this stuff already. No need to continue this on here.
