Hi. Is there any other easy way to do a win xp pro recovery? because I google it and saw that to do a recovery is a long list of things you have to do. I had spyware and I used hijackthis to remove it and delete windows files, ( I should ask in this forum for help with that) anyways now windows don't start, I can reinstall it but I am going to lose all my stuff from my hd. What should I do? Thanks.

What you could do is boot with the installation CD and do a repair installation. This should install any missing file or corrupted files, you won't lose any data because it doesn't format the harddrive. If that doesn't help, there are plenty of options for recovering your data.
