1) Yes and I don't know if reg cleaners would help you in your case...

2)WinXp Manager, RAMBooster, and Boost XP

3)Spyware/Adware progs, and AV applications

I like an "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" approach when dealing with the registry.

I suggest higher virtual memory settings and more actual RAM than booster utilities (but that's just me).
