could problems with pci simple communications controller affect getting a usb network adapter to work?

do you see usb installed in device manager?

the pci is a card in your machine that doesnt have drivers installed for it

yeah the usb device installs properly it just doesn't work when i plug an ethernet cable into it. i was just curious if pci communications controller could in any way be affecting this cause i could see no other reason why the usb device would not work.
