Default PC Problem..

I've recently downloaded some files, mostly installers for programs, and they don't respond to anything at all, my "Add/Remove Programs" application in the control panel doesn't respond either. I've tried the 'sfc purgecache' and 'sfc scannow' windows file protection stuff in the command prompt and it's done nothing. Any suggestions?

Hello,

No offense. But you seriously need to ditch the hard drive and the OS and go with something that you know works.

Get Vista 64 SP1. Stop using 32 Bit and get 64 Bit. Running 32 Bit on that overcharged system of your is causing you nothing but havoc. It has been a couple of months since you posted, but you always have issues with it.

Update your OS.

Cheers,
Mak
