if you haven't destroyed the data already with the win 98 disc or xp cd boot with partion magic rescue disc and try to undo your PM move.

pm 7.0 didn't make partition the windows will recognize in dos, but it does in windows

if it don't work, use the XP cd to delete all partition and use that same xp cd to create new ones. you will lose your data this way though

Your information is already lost....pretty much guaranteed. If it's listing the space as unpartitioned space, then it's not recorded as maintaining any informationin the MBR. All you can do is set up a partition, which will then tell the MBR that that space is free and usable, even if your information is still there. There may-might-possibly-be some program out there to help, but if there is I don't know about it. About the only way I can say for sure you'd get that info back is to take the drive to specialists and expect to pay anywhere from $1000 to $1000/platter. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but PM 7.0 has always been flakey with XP.

Wow, ur screwed man!

Yes, try "undo" like vance said.

Or download a partition recovery tool. Also try the "fix" option in PM.

If u create a new partition your filetable will be empty, so ur data is lost like wansingct said.

U can create a new partition and use file recovery software afterwards. Maybe it can restore some files but not all of them.

Afterwards I would recommend to format everything to make sure there are no problems in the future.

Maybe PM can undo the merge, though.

I would try to recover the partitions first, backup everything and format everything.
