I have one client who hosts with us on my VPS... For some reason when he sends an email, the email is sent but it doesn't get removed from his Outbox into his Sent Items. It just stays in the Outbox. So the email sends over and over and over.

I think it might have something to do with maybe his firewall or anitvirus software. He uses trendmicro.

The annoying thing is it happens to all their computer sin the office. He's still yet to confirm this but he doesn't think trendmicro is installed on all the computers that are having the issue.

Any ideas what the issue could be?

I would check the settings on his Outlook first. There may be a setting for the outgoing mail that could be just a hair off which is why is stays. Since it doesnt see itself as being sent.

Check the Send/Recieve logs. I can almost bet that you will see there was a connection error when trying to send which is why this is happening. Most likely a timeout from teh smtp server which cause the mail to get sent but reported as a error on his end.

At least that is 1 possibility. It could be TrendMicro as well.

this may or may not be the case, but imap accounts usually don't save a copy in sent items. you could create a rule in outlook to save a copy after sending
