Outlook Express problem

When I create a new e-mail I get this message when I try to send it.

"you do not have a digital id. If you send this message it will be sent properly, but you will not be able to read it in your sent items folder....etc." I have no problem forwarding or replying to messages, only occurs with new ones.

Cant figure out what ive done, hope someone can help.
