opening BIOS rom file

ok so I downloaded a BIOS update from Asus and it's a ROM file. How the heck do I open it?

first of all, download aflash from
ASUS Aflash Utility V2.21 For Dos Download
MAKE SUE YOU KNOW THE LOCATION OF THE .ROM FILE!!!
Then, in dos, run aflash. It should promt you for your .rom file
note: DONT touch anything while the BIOS is updating!
