ok my comp went gay again since i cant repair it, so i decided to install win xp home over win xp pro and i wonder if its ok to do it and will it overwrite xp pro or just take up more space on my hd?? and how can i overwrite it or uninstall xp pro and so i can have xp home.
Boot from the XP Home CD and when you get to the part where you set up partitions and stuff, just delete your old partition and make a new one for XP Home.

Agreed, just slip in the Home CD, make sure that you're booting to the CD-ROM and remove any and all partitions, create partition(s), re-format accordingly and install a fresh copy of XP Home.
Is this ok??
