Default Office 2003 to 2007 question

I have office 2003 and want to know if I install office 2007 if it will keep all my settings. Especially email contacts in outlook. I still need to be able to save things in the older format for exchanging files with other people.

You should be able to export your contacts. Office 2007 will allow you to save in the 2003 format.

Yeap you can keep both installed as I do, cause i need 2003 for my ECDL expert certification. In newer versions of Office as peterhuang913 said you can save your files as formats for previous versions sucha as 03 and 98. If you just want to be able to edit X files (docx, pptx etc) then you can download the compartibillity back for Office 2003 to edit them so as to keep your current version, otherwise you can have both.
