Default No text on taskbar icons?

Just wondering, is it possible to get rid of the text on the taskbar icons so that when you have a program ruuning you only get the icons for it and not the text next to it in Windows XP Pro without using a third party program?

Thanks in advance

You need to use a software utility in order to that. Modifying the registry for someting like this is way beyond my knowledge nor would I recommend it. I did come across a freeware utility that does what you're looking for but since you dont' want to use a 3rd party appc... it's prololy not worth mentioning.

Thanks for that, I should have said preferably not with a third party program, but if that is the only way then I will give it a bash lol.
