Newly made PC with the following bits

Abit AN8 32X
AMD 4400+ Dual Core X2 64bit
2x 1gig OCZ Plat
PowerColor ATI Radeon X1800 XT 512MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)
Western Digital 74gig Raptor 10,000 RPM.

The problems are =

Things dont download properly.

somethings refuse to run like Firefox (I mean the installer), my sound card drivers. all weird errors.
I really have no idea what could possibly be causing such weird problems. I have used 1 stick of RAM, and even 512 of my old memory.

Also, THe OS was installed onto the Raptor drive

Windows XP PRO with sp2, without sp2 and XP PRo Gold edition.

This is such a strange problem that makes no sense

youv tried different version of the installers? and what do u mean when u say things dont download proply?

it sounds like a ram issue

Tried my old ram and the issue still remains.

I mean that if I try n download the creative drivers. It goes all the way to the end but never finishes. I have to cancel it. Re download it, and it recovers the entire thing instantly from cache.
